Road Closure in BCC 4/2

Due to the potential of an extended road closure, we suggest those who have travel commitments within the next 48 - 72 hours or have need to be elsewhere, strongly consider departing tonight.

UDOT will close SR190 / Big Cottonwood Canyon very early this morning in anticipation of a storm that could deliver as much as 60" of snow through Wednesday. At this time, it is uncertain when the canyon will reopen following this closure. All village restaurants will close at 8:00 p.m. tonight to ensure staff have time to exit the canyon.

We will offer updates as we have them via solitudemountain.com and social media.

Skiing With Amber & Bingo at the Roundhouse 2/25

Thank you to all who came to the Owners Event on 2/25. What a GREAT turnout!

For those who weren’t able to make it. Here is a summary of our day:

We had a surprise visit from a Magical Unicorn (Ambers 5 year old daughter/ shredder) who was able to keep up with all the owners as we skied, Apex & Powderhorn lifts! We finished off the day with drinks, chili, pretzels, and bingo at the Roundhouse. Lots of laughs were shared, and prizes were won!

We will be posting the date of our next Owner Event Soon! Stay Tuned! I think it’s going to be the best one yet!

Loss of phone service

We wanted to make everyone aware that last night (2/15/23) around 11:30pm until 6:30am this morning (2/16/23) the canyon had experienced a phone outage. Our Resort representative were on the phone working with the providers on finding the issue. This was due to faulty equipment on the providers end of things. We are currently up and running with no issues.

Yurt Open for Lunch

Dear Owners,

We are thrilled to share with you that we now have our Yurt open for Lunch on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM. You can access the Yurt on hill from Sunrise Lift or via Lower Northstar Trail coming down from Apex and/or Summit Lifts. Or you can also make a very short snowshoe and/or Nordic ski up from the Village, which I just did today, and it was glorious. We are serving a variety of hearty dishes, specialty cocktails, beer, and more. We are working on getting an outdoor firepit and chairs to make it an even more inviting way to spend an afternoon. Enjoy!

Cheers,

Amber

Vertilinc Mobile App Update

First of all I want to thank everyone for reaching out and sharing their issues with Vertilinc with me. That is the ONLY way we can get this app fixed and working. In the last month, the Vertilinc app has been crashing. As of 4 hours ago, Vertilinc posted a new app. For some of you, your phone automatically updated and you should be able to use Vertilinc again. If you open the app and it crashes, that means your app did not automatically update. Please uninstall the app and reinstall the VERTILINC RESIDENT APP. After the app downloads please allow bluetooth, location, and automatic updates.

I have been emailing our Vertilinc Rep about all your questions. And I will continue to do so. Please feel free to reach our and I will find an answer for you. A recent question I have received is: What is the difference between the Vertilinc Mobile app and the Vertilinc Resident app? The only difference is that the Vertilinc Mobile app, when logging in requires a invitation code. Although they are very similar, I have been advised to let you know to have both owners and guests should now download the Vertilinc Resident app.

Please reach out to me (n.mollan@solitudemountain.com) and the Club (smrclub@solitudemountain.com) if you continue to have issues. We appreciate your patience and feedback as we continue to iron out the wrinkles of a new system.

—Please check out the Vertilinc FAQ page for more information and help with Vertilinc. I have been slowly compiling your questions and putting them on this page!

Solitude Mailroom Update

As most of you know, the mailroom was moved from the Administrative Building down to the Solitude Resort Lodging Front Desk. As we enter the holiday season, and packages start to roll in, please help our Front Desk Staff by:

  1. Being timely with picking up your packages

  2. If you are shipping large packages to Solitude, please arrange day-of pick up for those items. (If you can't pick it up, email Natalie (n.mollan@solitudemountain.com) and authorize another person to pick up your packages for you)

  3. Don't forget to stop in and check your paper mail too! (Most of you have paper mail at the mailroom that you didn't know was sent here. Wouldn't hurt to stop by and check!!)

The Solitude Resort Lodging Front Desk Staff have been diligently working to keep the Mailroom organized, and convenient for all of you and they have been doing a GREAT JOB! Please try to help them out in this busy holiday season. Don't forget they are an active front desk and may be busy when you come in to get your mail. Please give yourself a little extra time to get your packages and mail now that we are in full winter operation.

Vertilinc - Mobile Access App Update

Since the roll out of Vertilinc Mobile Access App in Eagle Springs West, Eagle Springs East, and Powderhorn Lodge this past Spring we have been working to resolve any issues that come up in an efficient manner. To help us with this, if you have an issue with Vertilinc, please do the following.

If the issue is with a mobile key you issued to a guest, ensure the key has not been forwarded to another phone. The key only works on the phone it was originally sent to. Next, please make sure your Bluetooth is on and the location is being shared with the App. Make sure to hold the phone up to the door for 5-7 seconds.

If the issue persists, have the guest send a screenshot of the App, and forward that to  b.parcinska@solitudemountain.com and n.mollan@solitudemountain.com, with the Guest Name as written in the App, the Building and Unit number, which door if there is a specific door, and an explanation of the issue.

If the issue is with your Owner account, please send an email explaining the issue to b.parcinska@solitudemountain.com and n.mollan@solitudemountain.com with your Building and Unit number and the specific issue you are experiencing.

Homeowners managing multiple units will be required to manage their account via Resident’s portal – link below:

https://websites.vertilinc.com/solitude

Additional essential information:

  • Guests whose mobile key is not working and have no way to access the room will be issued a temporary key per Owner's approval – it is still a paid service of $25 per key (Owner can choose to charge guest)

  • Only owners can send out keys to guests. (Guests cannot send other guests keys)

  • You can only have a total of 7 valid keys at one time per unit.

Thank you for your patience with and participation in this roll out. We appreciate your feedback!
