Village Parking Lot

This Friday, 12/20, parking enforcement will begin in our Village parking lot. Changes from last winter include the introduction of VIP pass parking in place of day skier parking in the center of the lot. The VIP pass is a new offering for guests who want a reserved parking space 7a-1p daily. Aside from this, the management of the Village lot is largely unchanged.

Click this link to view the parking map.

The following rules will be displayed at the entry to the lot:

  • Parking in the Solitude Village is restricted to VIP, permit, and paid overnight parking

  • Free public parking is available from 2pm-10pm daily, no public parking is allowed outside of this time

  • Park only in designated areas (see map)

  • Solitude Inn and Solitude Resort Lodging condo owners and guests check in with front desk for parking passes and information

  • All other lodging guests must park in designated overnight parking areas and pay nightly fee at kiosk

Please message n.sieckowski@solitudemountain.com if there are any questions. We look forward to seeing you all this winter!

Current SVMA Board:

Amber Broadaway – President of the Board - Resort Director

Steve Holtey – Resort Vice President

Marlen Stewart – Resort Vice President

Gaylis Linville – Lodges Director (appointed)

Adam Peters – Commercial Director (appointed)

John Risner – Residential Site Director (elected)

You are also receiving this letter as notification of the upcoming election for the 2 elected Residential Site seats on the SVMA board which will be held during the Annual Meeting in August.  Nominations for these 2 seats from The Village homeowners are now open.

The Residential Site representation is by election during odd numbered years. This election is held at our annual meeting and each seat is occupied for a two-year term. These board members may be reelected.  (Please note that these 2 board members represent all homeowners in the Village. There is not a seat for each property/HOA within the Village.)

All candidates nominated for election (yes, you can nominate yourself!) must submit a short bio statement indicating qualifications and intent (you may also include a photo). This bio must be submitted to Nick Sieckowski, SVMA Secretary (n.sieckowski@solitudemountain.com or Nick Sieckowski, 12000 Big Cottonwood Canyon, Solitude, UT, 84121). These nominations will be accepted through closing of the business day on July 21, 2023. Incumbents need to indicate their intent to run for reelection by contacting Nick Sieckowski and submitting a statement indicating their intent to seek reelection.

Biography statements for all nominated individuals will then be sent via email and posted on the SVMA website (www.solitudevillagemaster.com) on or before July 24, 2023, along with an approved budget for the new fiscal year, and an agenda and instructions for the online election at the meeting. If you have any questions, please call Nick Sieckowski at 801-536-5722.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • We will be voting electronically during the meeting (reminder: nominations may be accepted from the floor during the meeting).

  • Your property/unit has one vote regardless of the number of partners/people in the ownership of the property. This applies to husband-and-wife teams as well, only one vote between them for a unit. We will need ONE active email address for each unit in order to have only one vote per unit. Please provide Nick (at the email or phone number above) the NAME of the voting individual representing your unit, the property name, unit number, and the one email address for that individual to receive an electronic ballot by July 21, 2023.

You will be sent the link to the Zoom meeting via email so please be sure your email address is up to date. You may email Nick with any changes.  Thank you for your participation in this very important election and we look forward to seeing you in August.

Sincerely,

Amber Broadaway

SVMA President

Summer Update

Last weekend we opened up for Summer operations. The snow patches didn't just remind us of our record winter season - but delayed opening of our Sunrise lift and most of our mountain trails. That said, the restaurants, retail outlets, rental shop, ticket office, and our newly upgraded Adventure Park are now open, and the rest of the mountain is not far behind. For up-to-date operational hours and mountain conditions, download the Solitude App or visit our website linked below:

https://www.solitudemountain.com/

New for this year are Summer Camps, sold on a weekly basis for children ages 5 to 12. All Solitude Village Homeowners receive a 10% discount! For availability visit the link below:

Tomorrow, Thursday, June 22 at 6 p.m. M.T., Amber Broadaway will be hosting our second annual Solitude Town Hall. If you are nearby you can stop by Moonbeam to join in person - otherwise, you may join us on Zoom. Follow the link below for specific time and information:

Twin Lakes Dam

The water level at Twin Lakes Reservoir has reached the height of the spillways at Twin Lakes Dam. Big Cottonwood Creek water levels are higher than normal and are no longer controlled by the dam.

At this time, we are not concerned about flooding in any of our buildings but will be monitoring water levels closely. Updates will be sent if anything changes.

Twin Lakes Reservoir is located on the southeast side of our resort boundary and drains into Big Cottonwood Creek (linked below):

Mailroom Location Change

The Mailroom has moved from the Admin Building to the SRL Front Desk. This move is a result of feedback from owners who have had difficulty picking up packages during the mailroom hours. The SRL Front Desk has an advantage of being open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and located in a similarly convenient spot. Linked below is the Solitude Mailroom Village Package Policy.
